Hi I'm Minnie - a year 3 medical student with a passion in connecting medicine and cutting-edge technology.

My current path in enrichment year led me on a journey through the development and deployment of med-tech. In my MRes project, I am developing and running a clinical trial for measuring heart rate from smartphone-recorded heart sounds, and in the future, detect atrial fibrillation.

Beyond clinical applications, I'm also amazed by how technology can democratize medical knowledge. Throughout the year, I used VR to teach secondary school students and the elderly about common eye disease symptoms and their pathogenesis, empowering them to recognize warning signs in their friends and family and seek timely medical attention.

When I am not in the lab, you'll find me working on competitive programming. I had a great time exploring China and meeting other programming enthusiasts while representing HKU's programming team in Y2. Other times, I am tinkering with diferent tools and projects.
